BUILDING
MEASUREMENT (M & E)
This course is designed as an introduction for students who
wish to develop their competence and skills in measuring the
Mechanical, Electrical etc quantities from drawings in accordance
with a Standard Method of Measurement leading to the production
of a Bill of Quantities.
The course consists of taking –off quantities and
becoming familiar with Q.S.duties and terminology. The course
reading consists of lesson material and a textbook but does
NOT include a Standard Method of Measurement.

On completion of the course the student should be able to
take off quantities for Mechanical & Electrical services
to a domestic building and be familiar with the requirements
of a Bill of Quantities. The student will be awarded a Premier
School of Building ‘ Diploma’ in this subject.
The course may be commenced at any time and should be completed
within
3 months (i.e.80 hours of study) depending on the student’s
previous knowledge of the subject
